The U.S.S. Enterprise-A stands as both a fond tribute to its fallen predecessor and as a hopeful look into the future. Commissioned by Starfleet and constructed in Yorktown station in 2263, the ship was completed soon after the destruction of the previous Enterprise, which fell at the hands of Krall and his Swarm. The Enterprise-A follows the same basic configuration as its predecessor but was given more than a few notable upgrades.
